Unbuilt project in Jackson Heights Queens, NY. VAKOTA was approached to develop a new church that would connect to the neighborhood and invite neighbors to come inside. This was accomplished with a balance of glass walls with structural ribs that create screening. The housing for the pastor is above the nave, which allows for a constant connection to the chapel below.
