We recently completed the full gut renovation to an amenity space located at 444 Madison Avenue in New York City.
This space had to service multiple uses and change throughout the day depending on the user. Located on the 23rd floor of a midtown office building, the amenity space includes 2 conference rooms, 2 bathrooms,
2 kitchenettes, a large lounge, private lounge, and phone booth room.
We worked with and coordinated the IT technical items, such as AV and security.
We also worked with an acoustic engineer in creating a conference room that allows for quiet meetings and clear phone conversations.
This space posed a number of difficulties in the planning. Part of the floor housed the water tank for the building, and there were two terraces that required access.
The program included a secure and private conference room, necessary to have the best quality audio during conference calls. The conference room location had exterior windows on two sides and a low ceiling which limited acoustic separation from the building. Ultimately we resolved the program with our talented team of consultants.
